The Little Girl Giant
I'm going to try this again (the whole personal blog thing). Just a collection of things I happen to find interesting -- mostly stolen from other blogs. Isn't that what blogging is?
Anyway, here's an amazing video of The Little Girl Giant. I saw a one-pager in Wired an issue or so ago about this giant, mechanical elephant a group of performers built. Same guys doing this (in fact, the elephant makes a cameo). It was created by French street arts group Royal de Luxe. The music is by a French prog rock band by called Les Balayeurs Du Desert (The Desert Sweepers). Apparently they play live at some of these performances. I'm trying to track down the album online now though its proving hard to find -- its called "Jules Verne Impact". This song is "Decollage". Reminds of Bjork for some reason ... as does the Giant girl.
