Starbucks Lawyers Go Totally Fucking Mad
So every once in a while I stop at Starbucks to get a coffee. It's not my number one choice, but if you live in anything resembling a city you know it's ubiquity. So the other day I was drinking my coffee and below the sleeve to protect my hand from the extreme heat of the cup I see this disclaimer:"This is the author's opinion, not necessarily that of Starbucks. To read more or respond, go to www.starbucks.com/wayiseeit."
So I'm thinking, "What could be on this cup that the Starbucks fleet of lawyers feels they need to protect themselves from?" I can't remember exactly what the quote was (the cleaning crew at my office threw the cup away before I could snap a picture) but it was something like a short list of things that make life great ... and one of them was freedom. The quote on my cup today is a cooking quote. And here's one from Melissa Etheridge:
"Why limit yourself by what has never been before? Why say "I can only imagine'? Make the dream real, there is no imagination."
Real controversial stuff here. I can see why Starbucks wanted to distance themselves.
